The European project REZBUILD (Refurbishment decision making platform through advanced technologies for near Zero Energy Building Renovation) is an initiative funded by the European Commission. Since 2017, the project has a clear objective: to create an innovative and collaborative renovation ecosystem focused on existing residential buildings . To achieve this, it is based on the integration of profitable technologies, business models and life cycle interaction in various types of residential renovation and interconnecting both the building renovation stages and the agents involved in the entire process.
The project, framed in the H2020 program, has just communicated the progress made in the last year. Rehabilitation We have already spoken on other occasions about the importance of rehabilitation compared to new construction, and the high energy consumption of the construction sector, around 40%. It is also a large emitter of gases into the atmosphere, since 36% of emissions belong to the sector. This Buy Email Database is why it is essential to carry out a rehabilitation plan, aligned with European energy and climate change policies. Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) renovation methodologies should act as a lever, supported by the Horizon 2020 Framework , promoting business research and innovation through energy efficient buildings . Seeking to reduce the environmental impact of the residential sector, the platform is developing a source of collaboration in which different efficient technologies, business models and life cycle interaction are integrated into different forms of residential rehabilitation.

Another advance is that carried out by the project partner , in charge of developing the project management tool, which has made progress in the definition and management of data, in addition to front-end development. Pilot tests The project has three demonstration buildings in which the advances are being implemented . These residential buildings are located in Madrid, Oslo and , in Spain, Norway and Italy, respectively. In this way they carry out three rehabilitations adapted to three different climates. The one in Madrid is a single-family semi-detached house, typical of the Community. This is a home that is close to the end of its life cycle and they intend to extend it for another 40 years, in addition to reducing energy consumption and costs by more than.
