British electric vehicle manufacturer Tevva has begun commercial production of its medium-duty electric truck after receiving European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA).
The company will now be able to begin mass production and sales of TEV, its -ton battery electric truck. The critical regulatory approval will allow Tevva to retail its product in the UK and Europe.
With this, Tevva becomes the first British company to receive full EC vehicle type approval for a t electric truck and has moved quickly to bring its first vehicles to customers. The first mass-produced electric trucks have begun delivery from its UK base and will be enthusiastically received by customers including Expect Distribution, Travis Perkins and Royal Mail. Tevva has achieved essential certification for the EU and UK with the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) and the Swedish Transport Agency (STA). The Tevva electric truck underwent system tests, including electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility to the latest standards, to receive full vehicle type approval.
Tevva's t electric truck offers up to miles ( kilometers) on its modest kWh battery on a single charge and is ideal for urban and last-mile delivery fleets.
